Autism Assessment
Autism assessments are available either in person or via telehealth.
Lynsey provides Autism assessments for older adolescents (16 years and over) and adults. She has a particular interest in the assessment and diagnosis of women and has undertaken additional training in supporting women during perimenopause and menopause who wish to explore their neurotype.
Her assessment approach is neuro-affirming and individualised. Assessments typically include the MIGDAS-2, a structured clinical interview, alongside a range of other psychological measures to develop a comprehensive understanding of each person's experiences, strengths, and support needs.
As part of the assessment process, screening for ADHD will also be discussed given the high rate of co-occurrence between Autism and ADHD. Where ADHD is indicated, treatment options will be explored, including referral to a psychiatrist for further assessment and consideration of medication if appropriate.
Following the assessment, a feedback appointment will be Scheduled to discuss the assessment findings, answer any questions, and explore appropriate next steps and supports.
Lynsey offers a range of reporting options, from a summary report to a comprehensive diagnostic report, depending on your individual needs and goals for assessment.
If you are considering an Autism assessment, we encourage you to book an initial consultation to discuss your circumstances, goals, and the most appropriate assessment pathway for you.
